Sometimes the butter on top of your jacket potato just isn’t enough. Here I’ve compiled a list of some gluten free, healthy and cheap jacket potato toppings. Seriously, you can add anything you desire on top of your ultimate jacket potato.
Shop Bought Toppings:
- Coleslaw
- Baked Beans
- Cottage Cheese (in any variety – with pineapple, chives etc)
- Cream Cheese (in any variety – black pepper etc)
- Hummus
- Guacamole
- Tinned Tuna (in brine, sunflower oil etc)
- Cheese (in any variety – cheddar, brie, grated mozzarella etc)
Tuna and Sweetcorn Potato Topping
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Tin of Tuna
- 1 Tin of Sweetcorn
- 2 Tablespoons of Mayonnaise
METHOD
- Open the tin of tuna with a can opener and using the newly cut lid of the tin, drain the brine or oil
- Open the tin of sweetcorn a little with a can opener, drain the juice and open fully
- In a bowl, empty the tinned tuna and mash with a fork
- Add the drained sweetcorn
- Add the mayonnaise and stir with fork
